Old town walk & a beer
Half of us moved here this year
The easiest way to meet people in a new city.
Free. No group chat to be added to.

The idea
There’s a reason it’s easier to meet people at a padel court than at a bar. You have something to do, an hour it lasts, and a natural reason to say “same time next week?” Stem is built entirely around that hour.
No small talk cold start
Every meetup is an activity with a start time and an end time. If you don’t click, it’s over in an hour and nobody’s offended.
Small on purpose
Big meetups are where you talk to nobody. Plans cap at six, so you leave knowing everyone’s name.
The point
People you’ve done something with twice stop being strangers. That’s when the app has done its job.
The problem
Three regulars, one missing player, forty messages and a plan that dies on Thursday. Group chats are chaotic and permanent, and nobody ever actually commits — because saying yes in a chat costs nothing.

Dogs optional. Bring one or borrow the attention of mine.
Nobody here can serve. Rackets to rent at the desk.
Conversational pace. The coffee is the actual point.

Walks and coffee count as much as padel. Beginner is a real answer.
We surface the newcomer-friendly plans first while you’re new.
One tap to repeat a plan with the same people. That’s how a routine starts.
“I moved here in February knowing one person. I went to a Tuesday dog walk because it felt low stakes. Six months later that’s my Tuesday.”
Why the waitlist
A partner app with 200 users scattered across Portugal is a dead app. Sixty runners in Braga is a working one. So we invite by neighbourhood and by activity rather than first-come-first-served — and every invite carries three more, because people bring the partners they already train with.
Request an invite
Two of these fields decide the launch: the activities we enable first, and the part of Braga we invite first. Nothing else is asked.
Free while we’re growing. Braga now — Porto, Guimarães and Lisbon next.
